Different Areas of Mui Wo (Part Three)
Interviews
All the residents of Mui Wo we interviewed loved living at Mui Wo. They loved how peaceful it was and how it was very easy to get around. They didn't like the fact that people would come and spend no money and leave after 1 hour because the local businesses can't survive without tourism.
None of the residents wanted to really change Mui Wo. The only thing they wanted was a giant local supermarket so they could do all their shopping in one place.

Our trip
Our trip was beast, we did a lot of cool stuff and had fun along the way, probably the funniest part was when Chris' group ditched him so we adopted him as a foster group.
During the whole trip we stuck together as a team and helped each other out. We took a lot of photos a long the way and made it to every checkpoint. Riley guided us throughout the whole island and taught me (Alexia) how to read a map. Long story short, Riley was awesome. :D

Gastro Tour
We were thinking of making a mining area that you can see from Silvermine Cave. We were thinking of making the students/tourists/locals to grow organic vegetables and to send it to other restaurants. The beneficial uses is that the locals will have organic food and also will open new job offers to people who don't work there.
Final Idea 1
Our Idea is to do a long and tiring hike, climb, bike around Mui Wo, ending around silver mine cave so the tourists are tired and decide to stay the night. We'll buy a hut or shack as a lodge or educational center, this means we don't have to build a new one. all the food consumed will be local produce to make it sociably and economically sustainable. We'll use local residents as tour guides to make it economically sustainable. AND SPEND MORE MONEY!!
This Blog will be marked for Geog

Some Brief History of Mui Wo Island
Mui Wo is located on Silvermine Bay. Silvermine Bay was named after mines
that used to work along the Silver River. The Silver River runs through the islands village.
Halfway through to 19th century the Silvermine
cave was drilled to look for silver. For a while now it has been closed off for the safety of residents of the island and tourists.
During the year 1277 the imperial court took refuge in
Silvermine Bay. In 1277 Silbermine Bay was known as Mei Yu.
